Cap Size Guide
How to measure your head and choose the right wig cap size for a secure, natural, comfortable fit.
A wig that fits well sits flat, feels secure, and looks the most natural. Most of our wigs come in Average with adjustable straps, but taking two minutes to measure ensures you get the best fit.
How to Measure Your Head
Use a soft measuring tape (or a string you then measure against a ruler). Measure over a wig cap or with your hair flat to your head for accuracy.
Circumference
The most important measurement. Wrap the tape around your head: across the front hairline, above the ears, and around the nape. This gives your cap size.
Front to Nape
From your front hairline straight over the top of your head to the nape of your neck.
Ear to Ear (over top)
From the top of one ear, over the crown, to the top of the other ear.
Temple to Temple (back)
Across the back of the head from temple to temple, around the widest point.
Standard Cap Sizes
| Cap Size | Circumference | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Petite / Small | 20.5″ – 21.5″ (52–54.5 cm) | Smaller head, snug fit |
| Average / Medium | 21.5″ – 22.5″ (54.5–57 cm) | Most people — our default |
| Large | 22.5″ – 24″ (57–61 cm) | Fuller head, more comfort room |
Getting the Perfect Fit
Our lace wigs come with adjustable straps at the nape and combs inside the cap to secure the fit without glue. Tighten the straps for a snug hold, and use the combs to anchor the wig at the front, sides, and back. For extra security during long wear, you can add wig glue or got2b spray along the hairline (always patch-test adhesives first).
